We are proud to welcome our new stallion "Baron Van Gogh" at Rainbow Equus Meadows.  Baron Van Gogh is a 17hh steel gray imported young talented jumper with a strong pedigree from both parents.  Baron Van Gogh is by Europe's top jumper producer "Burggraaf" (Landgraf x Cor de la Bryere), a Holsteiner who is a Preferent accredited top jumper stallion for the KWPN. By percentage Burggraaf sired more GP offspring than any other stallion in Europe. Baron Van Gogh's dam is the double talented Rigoletto (Ramses) prestatie mare "Viola" who showed at the highest national levels in jumping as well as PSG dressage in Holland. 9 out of 11 of Viola's offspring have shown at international levels, and 2 of them in the Pan Am Games. Baron Van Gogh is her last foal.

Baron Van Gogh finished his 30 day performance test with the highest jumping score as the youngest stallion and his 70 day test with a jumping index of 127.5. His foals can be registered with BWP and he has full approval with RPSI, Oldenburg Verband and ISR/Oldenburg NA registries. Baron van Gogh has produced nearly eighty nice offspring and they show that his gorgeous head and strong hind-end are traits he passes on consistently. All indications are that a good number of them are growing up to be nice to handle, trainable, talented hunters and jumpers considering their quality, the bloodlines and that Baron Van Gogh's Saint-like character allows him to be handled and ridden by small women and to be fed and pet on the nose by a toddler daily. (Under mom's supervision)

Baron Van Gogh's sire Burggraaf jumped at international level under Roelof Bril. In 1991, for example, he jumped a wall of 2.10 meters at Indoor Brabant. In 1993 he was reserve champion in the 1.40 stallion class. The 'preferent' Burggraaf is a product of the Holstein success formula Landgraf I x Cor de la Bryère. His sire Landgraf I is one of the most successful show jumping horse progenitors of the twentieth century. On his dam's side Burggraaf goes back via the legendary sport horse producer Cor de la Bryère to Holstein lineage 7126. From this famous family also come the approved stallions Acord I, Acord II, Acrobat I, Acrobat II, Acrobat III, Arico, Fra Diavolo, Chicago and Freeman. Burggraaf can be counted as one of the most successful show jumper producers in the whole world. Burggraaf can hand down his size and movements as well as his enormous jumping ability. He is represented world-wide by more than thirty approved sons. Burggraaf has delivered a huge amount of 'ster' and 'keur' mares as well as high-ranking horses at selections. Also the Grand Prix dressage horses Florijn (Dennis Calin) and Lousiville (Leunus van Lieren) are progeny of Burggraaf.
