Gatsby descends from the world-class, famous Hanoverian G-line founded by Gotthard, representing some of the most consistently successful jumpers in the history of the Hanoverian breed. He is by the Elite Hanoverian, Gonzo I, who was America's most requested Hanoverian stallion from 1995-1997. Gonzo proved his great jumping heritage in the Open and Puissance divisions under Olympian Frank Sloothak, topping the 7'2" wall on several occasions. He also competed successfully through 4th level dressage, and his Dressage Production Index (for offspring) has now equaled his Jumping Production Index. Gonzo's sire, Gepard, produced the famous Hunter sire, All the Gold, and 12 internationally competitive Grand Prix showjumpers.
