Chaka Khan is a son of the legendary Cor de
la Bryere. This beautiful stallion has a fantastic personality
to go with his exceptional career and pedigree. Although Chaka
has an outstanding performance record in the jumper divisions,
he is also a SPECTACULAR MOVER, which makes him very desirable
for dressage breeding. He is a great cross for many different
types of mares and with his excellent balance and athleticism
he is a good choice for both dressage and hunter/jumper breeding
programs.
Chaka
Khan produces wonderful foals of a modern type that are cooperative,
trainable, and athletic. They excel in all disciplines.
He has offspring competing very successfully in dressage, jumping
and eventing. His son Chippendale sold for a record $23,000
at the Oaks elite sport horse auction and went on to rank 3rd
in
the USEF Adult Amateur Hunter division.
Chaka Khan won and consistently placed in Regular Working and
Conformation Hunters as well as upper level jumpers. Chaka was
Champion 5 and 6 year old Jumper at the San Juan Capistrano Classic.
Chaka was show Champion at the Carousel Classic in Calistoga
for Regular Working Hunters. As a 5 year old, he placed in the
IJF Western Regional Classic and the Western International Stake
for five and six year olds and was Reserve Champion Regular Working
Hunter at The Oaks Classic and the Labor Day Classic. As a 4
year old, he was top ten at the IJF Western Finals for four year
olds.
