Torino
is by the 'keur' stallion
Heartbreaker, son of the 'preferent' stallion Nimmerdor,
who was voted sire of the century. In 1998
Heartbreaker was 3rd in the G.P. of Hamburg,
Falsterbro and Geesteren. In 1999 Heartbreaker continued
his successful career by finishing 4th in the
prestigious Grand Prix of Aachen and winning the
'Championat' of Dortmund. In Belgium and Holland,
Heartbreaker has been leading the jumping index for
the last three years. Heartbreaker leads the jumping
index with a staggering score of 168 points. Torino's dam, sucessful
herself to 1m40 in EU is by the enormously populat Holsteiner stallion.
Cassini.
Cassini is endowed with the best jumping pedigree in
Holstein: The Capitol/ Caletto II nick.
Pedigree isn't all Torino has. Torino exhibits
explosive power off the ground, yet demonstrates careful
technique combined with incredible bascule. While
Torino has been called " a jumping machine," he also
exhibits round, balanced, ground covering gaits and a
magnificent presence. Torino is a kind hearted and
extremely willing stallion.
Torino was shown in 2005 in low level jumpers,
bringing in double clears consistently. After preparing
for the YJC series, in early 2006, Torino was injured in a freak
pasture accident which sidelined him form the show ring in 2006.
Torino
is now back 100% so look for him in the jumper ring in 2007!
